Leaving your pet in a parked car can be a deadly mistake. On a warm day, the temperature in a car can reach 120 degrees in a matter of minutes-even with the windows partially open.
The Livermore Leash Law Ordinance requires all dogs to be on a handheld leash, under voice control, or confined to their owners property at all times. Besides being the law, this ordinance is a common sense practice to avoid injury, illness, or loss of your dog.
It is once again West Nile season and the California Department of Public Heath is continuing to monitor the spread of the disease. Please report dead birds and tree squirrels to 1-877-968-BIRD (2473). For more information visit: www.westnile.ca.gov
The City of Livermore currently has 5 fully fenced off-leash dog parks for public use.
