Maximum Allowable Number of Pets

No person shall own or keep any exotic animal / livestock or six or more household pets, provided the number of dogs does not exceed three, over 12 weeks of age without first applying to and receiving from the director of finance an animal fancier permit. Potbellied pigs are considered livestock and require a Permit. No pet that is considered a health hazard, poisonous, or dangerous is allowed. A Permit is required for anyone with a number of pets exceeding these regulations. Permit applications are available at the City of Livermore city hall, finance department. Located at 1052 So.
